Bonjour, bonjour!

Last Autumn I was contracted to record 13 weeks of audiobooks – in my second favorite language no less. Well, 13 weeks of work turned to 20 some books which became 25 all told. Yes, I just wrapped up my 25th book narration last week. (The gentle reader takes a bow from a darkened recording booth.)

 
I also made an appearance on ABC television’s Zero Hour which will air this July. Friends in these United (?) States may recognize my voice in televised and radio spots for L’Oréal, and, my loyal French followers might cock an ear at hearing me singing for Kayak adverts.

In a more seriously pleasurable vein; last month I had the honor
of hopping rail to DC, and donning tux to accompany
our very dear friend of these many years, Helen Russell
who was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actress, Non-Resident Production for her performance in ‘Woody Sez: The Life & Music of Woody Guthrie.’ If you get a chance to see this anywhere on either side of the Atlantic, do not miss this gem of Americana!        …Helen is the product of a conspiracy of angels!

Congratulations to Bob Cuccioli and Natascia Diaz for their Helen Hayes nominations as well! We shared the boards for some exuberant months in “Jacques Brel Returns” before I left that stage to concentrate once again on the cabaret theater piece closest to my heart.

We are thrilled to be taking our Bistro and Aggie Award winning work once again across our eastern sea.

First we take Recklinghausen! Thanks to Paul Lucas Productions, we will perform on June 6, 7 and 8, as part of the Recklinkhausen Fringe Festival, in Germany.

Then we take London! This time our thanks go to Clifford de Spenser; Steve Ross and Ruth Leon. We’ll be at the prestigious club The Crazy Coqs June 18-22.
